Freida McFadden
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the book that got me out of a 4 year long reading slump caused by college. I needed a book that was entertaining, easy to read, and engaging.
Freida McFadden somehow managed to reignited my inner child passion for reading and writing again. She showed me how fun books can be, and how they can truly be an adventure. On top of this, she’s an incredibly talented women with actual experience in the medical field. She’s a smart cookie.
Ok past my sap story, this book took me by a chokehold and I finished it in a day. Once I read this one, I had to read every single other book of hers and can say to this day I have yet to read a book from her I don’t like.
From the multiple plot twists to the wonderful character development of each main character, I fell hard for this book. It’s clear others did too since there are now three books in this series.
When you go into a Freida book, expect to be entertained, expect to be laughing your butt off. Don’t try to learn anything new, unless it’s the actual art of writing, and enjoy the adventure. I think a lot of people read Freida’s books not understanding that much of them contain satire. Her books do something to my brain that just makes it so happy.
If you are on the fence about reading this one, I heavily heavily recommend it. Enjoy the ride! And try not to hate Cecilia too much, LOL! Freida did a fantastic job creating a problem child.
This first book was so popular Freida released two others to make it a series. I inhaled them both. They need to be read all together, not alone.
Also any hate for Freida is silly. These are all artists making wonderful stories. She is a doctor and a parent and a smart cookie. She’s incredibly sweet and humble as well. Good eggs deserve a spotlight, as there are not many of them.
The Amazon link below is an affiliate link but I signed up after I read Freida’s books.
