The Fifth Season

By N.K. Jemisin

Status: FINISHED

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️

Lots of thoughts on this one. All I can say so far is I cannot put it down. It’s a very intense beginning.

Okay I am trying to process my feelings, but this book is not only so complex that the English language makes it difficult to summarize, but it is so powerful and well-written that you feel every emotion with this book. It will rip you in half and glue you back together and then make you a nice cup of tea while whispering sweet nothings into your ear, and then you will be reading another point of view from a different character, and N.K. Jemisin stayed consistent enough with the chapter formatting that the dual points of view were never too confusing.

I have a lot of thoughts as you might be able to tell, onto the second book in this trilogy!

Here is my GoodReads review so far
